The BIS has a number of openings for experienced economists in its
Monetary and Economic Department. The positions are in a variety of
areas, including financial markets, financial systems and regulation,
and in the secretariat of the Committee on the Global Financial System
(CGFS).
You will prepare policy analysis of global financial and economic issues
for senior central bank officials, and undertake research relating to
financial stability and monetary policy for BIS publications and
professional journals.
You have a PhD and experience gained at a central bank, an international
policy institution, or in academia. You combine a strong research
background with solid experience in applying economic analysis to real
world situations. You have excellent drafting and communication skills
in English.
