Global Communities (formerly CHF International) is an international development organization whose mission is to be a catalyst for long-lasting positive change in low- and moderate-income communities around the world, helping them improve their social, economic, and environmental conditions. Global Communities is seeking local candidates for theAgribusiness Investment for Market Stimulation (AIMS) program, a five-year project funded by the United States Department of Agriculture.  AIMS’s mission is to bolster trade for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) engaged in agribusiness in Kenya, Tanzania and Malawi by increasing their access to bank finance and by expanding their trade outlets.
OPEN POSITIONS:
 Credit Specialist - Tanzania 
The Credit Specialist in the Dar Es Salam office will be responsible for arranging participation of select lending institutions in the Program’s Loan Guaranty Facility (LGF), for reviewing loan applications and, in consultation with the Nairobi-based Credit Manager, for confirming a consent to guarantee. The Credit Specialist, with support as required of AIMS-Tanzania’s two Credit Officers, monitor and ensure compliance to the terms specified in the formal LGF Agreement between the Guarantor and the lending institution in question. Responsibilities will include related capacity building of participating lenders to facilitate quick loan consent turnaround, as well as ongoing day-to-day liaison coordination with partner banks on loan guaranty implementation, plus related target data collection and all related reporting for M&E purposes. 
 Trade Officer - Tanzania 
The Trade Officer in Tanzania will assist the Trade Specialist in mapping out strategic value chains and in identifying gaps where project strengths can be applied to streamline the chain of commercialization and expand the value and volume of Tanzania’s agribusiness trade. S/he will participate in linking operators under a business case framework that augment likelihood of attracting bank financing appropriate for operators in their value chain---using tools of finance, ICT, and market-driven collaboration. The Trade |Officer will tie in necessary capacity building in finance and marketing, as well as galvanize and introduce business service support, to increase loans from institutional lenders to agribusiness operators. He/She will support AIMS program to expand trading platform efficiency through integration and broader price diffusion. He/She will support AIMS trade fair participation and related workshops on market opportunities. The Trade Officer will take the lead along with the Tanzania-based credit officers in formalizing the network of business service providers and in increasing agribusiness loans resulting from their more active role assisting agribusiness 
 Credit Officer- Tanzania 
The Credit Officer in the Dar Es Salam office will support the participation of select lending institutions in the Program’s Loan Guaranty Facility (LGF) . The Credit Officer will coordinate all lender capacity building programs, to include agribusiness value chain risk assessment and risk mitigation tactics, financial diagnosis, cash flow, and loan product structuring. S/he will monitor and report, in the format consistent with target monitoring and M&E requirements, all loan origination results with emphasis on loans originated by lenders not participating in the LGF program. Responsibilities will include ongoing day-to-day liaison coordination with assisted lenders, to include periodic loan review workshops, loan referrals. 
 Finance Officer- Tanzania 
The Finance Officer for the Dar Es Salam Office of AIMS is responsible for effective and efficient office finance operations in support of the Program Manager- Tanzania.. This involves maintaining accounting systems, bookkeeping and the cash and bank accounts. This position will also call for providing assistance to the Nairobi-based Director of Finance and Human Resources on Human Resource issues, such as employee recruitment, benefits management, absence management, tracking of staff and consultants and in maintaining a HR filing system. 
 M&E Officer- Tanzania 
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer in the Dar Es Salam office will be responsible for implementing and updating M&E system which will track program activities and results. The M&E Officer will maintain and update program databases in coordination with partner M&E contacts. S/he will work with Nairobi M&E Manager, but reports directly to the Program Manager to ensure program data and results are documented and updated on a regular basis.
