Context/Scope:	Serengeti Breweries Ltd (SBL) operates exclusively in Tanzania and is the 2nd largest beer company with a market share of 25%.  SBL is a subsidiary of East Africa Breweries Ltd (EABL) – which is in turn partly owned by one of the world’s biggest alcoholic beverage companies, Diageo. The company is an integrated demand/supply business with 3 operational breweries in Dar Es Salaam, Mwanza, and a third one in Moshi, which is situated in the northern part of the country near the Kenyan border. SBL’s flagship brand is Premium Serengeti lager, which accounts for 50% of SBL sales volumes. The other beer brands are Tusker, Guinness, Tusker Malt, Kick and Pilsner.  SBL has 3 fully operational breweries in Dar es Salaam, Mwanza and Moshi with a combined capacity of 1.3m Hls. Moshi has a capacity of c600khls per annum and a scope to expand to more than 1 million in F14.              Brewing Department in SBL  Moshi Brewery undertakes most of the duties meant to convert Brewing Raw materials to Beer. It operates closely with Departments like Procurement, Finance and Human Resources, but even more closer to the Packaging and Quality assurance Departments in Producing quality products at optimum time and at highest Efficiency. Shift Brewer is the coordination centre of the related activities on shift basis.
Purpose of Role:	To manage a Brewing Shift Team to be able to produce quality beer at optimum cost in most efficient manner at a safest way while maintaining a good team morale.
Key  Accountabilities	Plan and acquire the requirements  for the shift Manage the human resource including development Foster good occupational health and environment Maintain good working relation within the team and with other shifts Manage the assets and processes on shift basis Manage costs Facilitate problem solving processes Lead continuous improvement initiatives at shift level Foster smooth two way effective communication Effect generation of repots and records
Qualifications and Experience Required:	Bsc in Food Science and Technology or any other Degree in the field of natural sciences studies. At least 6 months experience in active Brewing Practices in an established brewery
