Tanzania International Container Terminal Services Limited (TICTS) is a member of Hutchison Port Holings Group (HPH) of Hong Kong. Hutchison Port Holdings (HPH ), a subsidiary of the multinational conglomerate Hutchison Whampoa Limited (HWL), is the world's leading port investor, developer and operator. The ~PH network of port operations comprises 319 berths in 52 ports, spanning 26 countries throughout Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, the Americas and Australia. Over the years, HPH has expanded internationally into the logistics, transportation related and hotel businesses. These include cruise ship terminals, airport and hotel operations, distribution centres, rail services and ship repair facilities. Overall Purpose of Job
Generally the candidates will be responsible to work into responsible department to enable them to gain understanding of a broad range of the company's operations are carried out effectively and efficiently.
1. Database Administrator - (1 Position)
Job Summary
To oversee database administration on LlNUX and WINDOWS platform for production; development, and test environments to include day to day monitoring and maintenance, problem investigation and resolution, backup creation and maintenance,
SQL and database optimization and tuning as well as providing leading efforts to research, analyze and recommendations
patches, upgrades, and new technologies surrounding all aspects of data management using relational database on LlNUX and WINDOWS.
Qualification and skills level
A candidate should possess degree or its equivalent in related field majoring in Oracle and MySQL database administration from a recognized institution
Highest level of integrity and ethics compliance,
Ability to communicate fluently in English and Swahili,
Work experience/Skills, at least three (3) years of working experience in Database Administration.
