The mine is a situated in the Lake Victoria Gold fields of Tanzania only about 85 KM from Mwanza City and 20 KM’s south East of the nearest point. POSITION: UNDEGROUND MINE GEOLOGIST
JOB NO: GGM-2016-XHS-11
WORKS FOR: SENIOR SUPERVISIOR
QUALIFICATIONS: DEGREE IN GEOLOGY
EXPERIENCE: 2 years experience in underground mining geology
MAIN KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Complete all assigned work according to company procedure
- Identify and report hazards in the work place
- Combine underground geological mapping , sampling, and core logging to a schedule approved by the senior supervisor underground geology
- Provide a geological input at mine planning meetings
- Complete geological interpersonal from mapping and logging data
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Physical fitness to work in an underground mine environment
- Willingness to work in an underground mine environment
- Good communications skills
- Verbal written English
- Valid driving license and ability to pass site driving test
- Experience in the use of data mine is an added advantage
