Roving Communication Advisor for ActionAid Tanzania & Burundi
ActionAid Tanzania and ActionAid Burundi seek an experienced
Communication Advisor, who is able to provide efficient roving capacity
development support to both national staff at the ActionAid office and
with local partner organisations of ActionAid. An overall objective of
the placement is to ensure that more rights based stories on challenges
and achievements in relation to accountability and land grab issues are
shared globally within the ActionAid federation. The Advisor will be
based with ActionAid Tanzania and provide roving support to ActionAid
Burundi. The Communication Advisor will thus be supporting AA Tanzania
and ActionAid Burundi at multiple levels and different areas within
communication to support this overall objective. More specifically the
Advisor will:
- Support both ActionAid offices to establish strategic communications systems with relevant partners and stakeholders.

Qualifications required:
- Minimum of 5 years post graduate professional experience in communication or journalism, experience researching, and gathering and placing stories
- Strong experience in written communication (journalistic writing and writing for websites)
- Experience in developing and implementing a communications and campaigns strategies.
- Previous experience on communications work in low-technology, developing country context
- Proven experience and success in production of content and use of social media & technical editing/video production skills
- Good knowledge of development issues, especially in relation to East Africa region.
- Good advisory, training and capacity building skills and experience
- Ability to inspire and facilitate rather than leading processes
- Excellent writing and editing skills in English and French
- Danish proficiency strongly desired

Responsibilities:

Entry Qualifications.
Holder of Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting major) or its equivalent from recognized institution with work experience of at least three (3) years. Must have knowledge of relevant computer applications including MS-Office, audit and accounting softwares.
Duties and Responsibilities
a) Assist the HIA with establishing the objectives, scope, and methodology of the audit and developing an audit program.
b) Perform research to obtain background information for the audit.
c) Document the operation and internal control systems to the audience in a manner that is sufficient to complete audit objectives.
d)Analyses data for accuracy and to assess the adequacy of the auditee's operations and internal controls systems.
e)Perform cash counts, physical inventories, or other audit procedures as requested by the HIA or as needed to meet audit objectives. .
f)Create the work papers to document the audit work performed and support the audit report

East African Civil Society Organizations’ Forum (EACSOF) is the all inclusive platform for CSOs in East Africa. It is the focal point for CSO engagement in EAC integration processes. It is registered in Tanzania as a regional NGO with its head office in Arusha. EACSOF, which started with assistance from the East African Laws Society (EALS) enjoys formal cordial working relationship with the East African Community (EAC), the EAC Partner States and national, regional and international networks among them the Centre for Citizen Participation at the African Union (CCPAU), the African Centre for Civil Society (ACCS), the West Africa Civil Society Organizations’ Forum (WACSOF), the Southern African Development Council for NGOs (SADAC NGO) and African CSO on Platform on Principled Partnership (ACPPP).
According to the EAC CDF, EACSOF was mandated by stakeholders to represent CSOs at the EAC as the voice of civil society in integration processes. EACSOF Vision for East Africa is … “A community in which citizens are fully engaged in all affairs affecting their lives”. Watumishi waliopunguza kazi/kufukuzwa kazi Serikali hawashauriwi kuomba
Waombaji ambao wameajiriwa wanashauriwa kupitishia barua zao za maombi kwa waajiri wao wa sasa.
Barua ambazo hazikuambatishwa na nyaraka zilizotajwa hapo juu (i–iii) hazitashughulikiwa.

iii. Mratibu wa utekelezaji wa Sera na Sheria zinazotekelezwa na Halmashauri katika Mtaa

v. Msimamizi wa Utekelezaji wa Sheria Ndogo pamoja na Sheria nyingine zinazotumika katika Mtaa.
vi. Mshauri wa Kamati ya Mtaa kuhusu masuala ya Ulinzi na Usalama
vii. Msimamizi wa utekelezaji wa mikakati mbalimbali inayohusu uondoaji wa njaa na Umaskini katika Mtaa;
viii. Kusimamia ukusanyaji wa Mapato ya Halmashauri na kutunza kumbukumbu za walipa kodi wote;
ix. Kuandaa na kutunza rejesta ya wakazi wote wa Mtaa na
x. Atawajibika kwa Mtendaji wa Kata.

Daraja hili la mafunzo katika kazi, hivyo atafanya kazi kwa maelekezo ya wasaidizi wa kumbukumbu walio juu yake. Kazi atakazojifunza na kufanya ni zile zifanywazo na Msaidizi wa Kumbukumbu daraja la I.
2. KAZI ZA MSAIDIZI WA KUMBUKUMBU DARAJA LA I
i. Kutafuta kumbukumbu/nyaraka/mafaili yanayohitajiwa na wasomaji
ii. Kudhibiti upokeaji, uandikishaji wa kumbukumbu/nyaraka.
iii. Kuchambua, kuoredhesha na kupanga kumbukumbu/nyaraka katika makundi
kulingana na somo husika (classification and boxing) kwa ajili ya matumizi ya ofisi.
iv. Kuweka/kupanga kumbukumbu/nyaraka katika reki (file racks/cabinets) katika
masjala/vyumba vya kuhifadhia kumbukumbu.
v. Kuweka kumbukumbu (barua, nyaraka n.k) katika mafaili.
vi. Kushughulikia maombi ya kumbukumbu/nyaraka kutoka Taasisi za Serikali.

Awe amehitimu na kupata Cheti cha Taaluma cha Kidato cha Nne (IV) NB. Results Slip hazikubaliki.

Barua zote ziambatane na nyaraka zifuatazo:-
i. Nakala za Vyeti vya Mwombaji vilivyothibitishwa,
ii. Maelezo binafsi ya Mwombaji (Curriculum Vitae),
iii. Picha ndogo za rangi (Coloured Passport size) mbili (2) za Mwombaji za hivi karibuni.
Kila Mwombaji lazima awe na Umri kati ya miaka 18 – 45
Waombaji wenye sifa Pungufu au Zaidi na zilizotajwa hapo juu hawashauriwi kuomba kwani maombi yao hayatafanyiwa kazi.
